Reasonably priced service, honest mechanics, and quick turnaround. Not much more you could ask for.

i took my car here to see if they could remove the rusted plate screws on the tailgate of my car. guy didnt even put liquid wrench or anything, came out and broke the head of the screw off. then he said it would cost 200 dollars to drill it out. no way in hell i will trust my car to fools like these. Update: I had alot of respect for Bexley Automotive just based on literally dozens of recommendations from friends, and even random people, that its the place to go for excellent service. That's why i brought my business there. I want to stress that many people find the services you provide to be outstanding, and that's great. Having said that, the treatment I received, while possibly the norm and acceptable to some, was entirely unacceptable to me. I was quoted $200 for drilling out a license plate screw, forget that it was the mechanic who twisted off the screw head. I understood that as a unfortunate, yet probable outcome of a 250+ pound man applying torque. Excuse me sir, but $200 is appalling. I payed less than $50 for a brand new tool set and did it myself. What ridiculous prices would I have been quoted for other things, Ill never find out,because im taking my business elsewhere. Thanks for your reply and I wish you the best.

Stefan, I’m really sorry that this was your experience at my shop. Unfortunately I don’t have any sort of liquid wrench product at the shop. I was not in today but I’d love to contact you directly. Would that be ok? Thanks - Kyle. Update: Stefan, again I’m very sorry about your experience. I’ve tried and waited for a few days hoping you would reach out. I understand that my staff walked you through every step of the process and before we even began gave you the option to not proceed. I would love it if every job we did always went smoothly. Sometimes it doesn’t. When we can see that something may not be as easy as we hope or would want I stress to my team that we need to give that information; even if it is bad news. That said, if I’m a fool because I like you to know what could happen before it maybe does (or did in this case) I’ll take that as a compliment and know I am doing right by my customer.

As a college student, who isn’t from Columbus, I had no idea what to do when my car broke down. So I quickly searched automotive places near bexley and they had the best reviews. I didn’t think much of it until I spoke with them on the phone. Such a friendly, kind staff. I don’t know much about cars, but they were able to explain to me exactly what had happened, and what needed to be done. Despite being busy, and having a garage full, they were able to get my car done in a timely manner. And they were even kind enough to PICK ME UP from my school and bring me to pick up my car. Such an amazing company!

The family at Bexley Automotive is absolutely amazing! Kyle (owner) and Dawn (office manager) were both wonderful to work with. Kyle made sure to explain to me what was wrong with my truck and gave me the different options. He gets how hard it can be trusting someone with your vehicle and he made me feel comfortable, like family, and I trusted him and his team. They did a great job! If I was still in Columbus, Ohio, and needed a mechanic, I would definitely go back.

Had terrible experience. Had a flat tire and battery issues. Was told over the phone they do full tire and battery service. Next day technician told me they do neither. They claim there was “miscommunication”. Which is weird being that I asked if they could handle a flat tire and a dead battery and the guy over the phones reply was “yeah, absolutely!”. they also informed me that I had relay issues draining my battery & I had to go see a specialist. All that got done was an oil change. Went to Honda dealership and they couldn’t find any problems that bexley informed me that I had. Won’t be coming back.

Do you remember when your grandparents spoke about their local auto repair shop, and how back in the day (typically a Wednesday) they had a face to face relationship with the owner and the person working on their car?? That story your grandparents told can be yours, too. Bexley Auto is a straight shooting company that is locally owned and that owner, Kyle, is actually on-site helping people. They give you estimates, options, and will actually speak to you and walk you through what is going on with your vehicle. We have had 3 fairly major repairs at very reasonable prices, including a clutch & flywheel replacement and a timing belt replacement. Not to mention batteries, all kinds of oils, and routine maintenance. They treat my wife and I with respect even though we know very little about vehicles. Stop reading this and just call them and make an appointment to have your car checked out. I can almost guarantee Dawn or Kyle will pick up your call.
